A striking new show apartment at Chiswick Point, created by Design O.D., has already been attracting strong interest helping bring to life this elegant and contemporary collection of apartments from Bellway Homes.

The key to successful interior design is to create a style that relates to the location of the home and the people who would live in it. In designing the luxurious new show apartment at Chiswick Point, designer Ed O’Donnell from Design O.D. looked to the local area for his inspiration. There are deliberate touches that hint at nature and wildlife as the apartment overlooks the hidden green nature reserve of the Gunnersbury Triangle, but above all the home is designed to suit the aspirations and tastes of the well-heeled purchasers who would buy one of these stylish homes.

Zoe Dobbs, Sales Manager of Bellway North London comments: “For house-hunters first impressions really do count which is why it is great to see the reactions when people see this show apartment for the first time. The new show apartment fabulously shows off how someone could make the most of the space – the interior design scheme has such character and panache it is hard not to be wowed.”

“We are also very pleased to announce that these properties are available with the Help to Buy scheme. With over 50% already sold, we encourage any potential purchasers to get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”

Chiswick Point is an exclusive collection of one, two and three bedroom apartments and three bedroom penthouses, which benefit from views over the Gunnersbury Triangle. This peaceful woodland is a green oasis full of wildlife, a fact that is echoed in details and patterns inside the show home such as subtle animal and nature inspired prints on cushions and artwork.

Set in the affluent and leafy neighbourhood of Chiswick, the atmosphere inside the show home is one of understated elegance, with luxurious materials and finishes included throughout. Ed O’Donnell explains: “The textures and fabrics were designed to shout ‘luxury’, so I chose mix of velvet and silks, wooden marquetry finishes and marble, as well as touches of gold and antique brass and leather. I wanted to strike a balance between modern design and creating a welcoming space, so I’ve mixed in mid-century pieces to give a ‘lived in’ feeling.”

A sophisticated palette of greys and naturals is off-set by touches of richness in claret, gold and green. In the living area, an antique bronze screen gives a focal point with pieces of mirror in it that catch the light. Silk effect wallpapers in the bedrooms add luxury, while a mid-century design leather and wood armchair in one of the bedrooms epitomises the look of simple elegance.

The beautiful interior design of the show apartment is complemented by the carefully considered layout of the home that makes the best use of light and space. Attention to detail is paramount throughout, demonstrated in everything from the choice of finishes to the stylish appliances in the kitchens and contemporary sanitaryware in the bathrooms. The home has its own private balcony accessed through sliding fully glazed doors from the living area, providing a pleasant outdoor spot to enjoy the green surroundings.

Renowned for its quiet riverside location and vibrant local scene, Chiswick boasts an exceptional range of local amenities, including top restaurants, cafes, pubs and delicatessens. Shoppers will find independent retailers and high street chains on nearby Chiswick High Road, while those seeking open-space will find several parks nearby in addition to the Gunnersbury Triangle Nature Reserve. There are the historic gardens at nearby Chiswick House to explore, Kew Gardens with the world's largest collection of living plants and Gunnersbury Park with a miniature golf course.

The apartments at Chiswick Point are also well positioned to benefit from the excellent transport links the area has to offer, with nearby Chiswick Park and Gunnersbury tube stations served by the District line and overground Gunnersbury (North London line) and Chiswick (Hounslow loop line) railway stations offering services to Waterloo. Junction 1 of the A4 is less than a mile away, with onward connection to the M4 providing access to Heathrow Airport and the country.
