Farrall’s buy Volvo trucks to celebrate fifty years in business

The company have been purchasing Volvo’s for over 15 years. Managing Director, Mark Farrall stated that, “Our Volvo’s have always been reliable and are definitely my preferred marque.”
The company’s recent purchase of two FH12, 6x2 Globetrotter tractor units takes their Volvo tally to 26 vehicles in this, their golden anniversary year.
EC Farrall purchase their Volvo’s from Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd – The Volvo Truck and Bus Dealership for the North-West. Mark stated, “We purchased our first Volvo from Thomas Hardie’s and have been buying from them ever since.”
Having purchased a variety of both new and used Volvo’s over the years, Farrall’s have built a strong relationship with the Middlewich Depot of Thomas Hardie Commercials.
Used Vehicle Sales Manager at Middlewich, Jonathan Bownes, commented, “Thomas Hardie are proud to work with E.C Farrell. He added that, “May I congratulate Farrall’s on their last 50 years of business, I wish them every success in the future.”
Established in 1956, Eddie Farrall and his wife, Joan were the founders of the company, which began as a local transport company with just one truck operating from a small yard. Over the years the business has seen steady growth, and now has a fleet of 28 trucks operating over three sites.
Directors Mike and Mark Farrall took over the company from their parents nearly thirty years ago. Mike commented that, “The business has slowly developed over the years, diversifying from a transport company into storage, warehousing and distribution. He added that, “This has allowed us to expand as a company and increase our fleet.”
