In medieval times, invading English armies would wait till the summer months to march north to do battle in and around Stirling, assuming the better weather would be to their advantage. Regrettably for them at the battles of Stirling Bridge and Bannockburn, their journeys to Stirling proved fruitless and headed homewards ‘tae think again’.

Thankfully, house hunters visiting Cruden Homes’ Stirling Bridge development in the Raploch area of Stirling, are assured of a much warmer welcome nowadays and prospective buyers certainly won’t have to wait for the summer to end up winners.

A valuable money saving deal is currently running at the development for anyone reserving a property in January and is able to move into their new home at Stirling Bridge by the end of March (2015). For qualifying buyers, Cruden Homes are offering to pay the 5% deposit (which could save a buyer as much as £6850). In addition, buyers will only need to pay a much reduced reservation fee of just £99 (normally £500) to secure their new home.

The mix of properties currently on offer at Stirling Bridge includes a selection of two and three-bedroom terraced and semi-detached house styles with many of the properties having views to Stirling Castle (which overlooks the development), or to the nearby Wallace Monument. In addition, a selection of eagerly awaited, two-bedroom apartments are due to be released soon.

Prices range from £125,000 for a two-bedroom terraced house to £137,000 for a three-bedroom semi-detached house. The apartments will start from just £105,000.

Situated off Glendevon Drive, just minutes from the heart of Stirling, Stirling Bridge is a major part of the much acclaimed and ongoing £120m transformation of the Raploch area of Stirling. Over just a few years, a new, modern community has been created offering as well as stylish new homes, a health campus, two primary schools, a family centre/out of school care nursery, a community campus, sports facilities and the reclaiming and opening of the riverside walkway area.

Residents at Stirling Bridge also benefit from being only minutes from Stirling's dynamic town centre, which blends a rich historic past with all the requirements of modern day living, from leading high street retailers to eateries, restaurants, bars and entertainment/leisure facilities, while a Sainsbury’s superstore is also on the development’s doorstep.

And, by being minutes from the M9, Stirling Bridge also has that all important commutability factor, making Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow highly accessible.
