Aspiring homeowners in the North East can move stress-free this New Year, with developer Taylor Wimpey offering free furnishings for any home reserved in January.

Across all 16 developments in the region, househunters will receive complimentary carpets throughout their property, in addition to benefitting from the housebuilder’s financial incentives.

Karl Morton, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North East explains: “With fitted carpets coming in every home style at every development, buyers looking to start the year with a new home, have one less thing to worry about.

“Buyers can also take advantage of our popular schemes such as Help to Buy and easymover, which allow both first-time buyers and upsizers to progress on the property ladder with ease.”

The government-backed Help to Buy initiative offers eligible purchasers the option of reserving any new home worth up to the value of £600k with just a five per cent deposit; while also benefitting from a 20 per cent equity loan.

Meanwhile through easymover, Taylor Wimpey manages the selling process of your home, by liaising with estate agents, in addition to covering the cost of their fees.

Karl continues: “Following a rise in demand over the festive period, we’re really excited to help more buyers move this year – and hopefully our schemes will make the process easier, and more affordable, than ever.”

Taylor Wimpey North East has developments across County Durham, Newcastle, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear
The free carpet incentive will end across all developments at midnight on 30th January. Visit for more information on homes in the region.
