Buyers looking for a new home near Sandbach are being urged to extend their search slightly if they want to get more for their money.

Properties in the popular Cheshire town often come with a premium price tag. But by looking further afield to the surrounding villages buyers could find they’re able to secure a larger property at a smaller cost.

For example a four-bedroom home at Vicarage Fields in Haslington could be purchased for £264,995; while according to home.co.uk the average asking price for a property with the same number of bedrooms in Sandbach is more than £322,000.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, says: “Haslington is less than four miles from Sandbach, putting the thriving market town within a 10-minute drive from our new homes at Vicarage Fields. Homebuyers may be surprised to discover that property prices can vary so much in such a short distance and we would invite anyone looking for a home in Sandbach to pay us a visit to see just how much more they could get for their money.”

A four-bedroom detached Belvoir at Vicarage Fields is currently available from £264,995.

To the ground floor it features a lounge with French doors to the rear garden; open plan breakfast kitchen, also with French doors offering easy access to the outside space; a dedicated dining room; plus cloakroom.

Upstairs the master bedroom benefits from an en-suite, with the remaining three-bedrooms sharing the family bathroom.

Help to Buy equity loans are available and could reduce the initial cost of the Belvoir to £211,996. The remaining 20% is covered by the equity loan, which is interest free for five years.

Located on the edge of the village of Haslington, properties at Vicarage Fields development enjoy a rural outlook.

Crewe train station is less than 10 minutes’ drive away, from where commuters can reach Chester and Stoke in around 25 minutes and Liverpool or Manchester in less than 45 minutes; while trains whisk passengers to Birmingham in around an hour.

Buyers will find everything they need to know about the neighbourhood and their new home in their Home User Guide (HUG).

On offer with a secure log in and tailored to each home, the HUG contains the 10 year warranty on the property and even sends homeowners reminders about regular maintenance and DIY tips and is available in conjunction with the National House Building Council (NHBC).
