Kingsglade at Kingsworthy

Designed with a cosmopolitan, style-conscious family in mind, Kingsglade has launched at the exclusive Kingsworthy development to show off the luxurious living space on offer. Making a stylish and sophisticated statement, Kingsglade is an outstanding five bedroom detached home from premium developer Millgate, located in the Surrey village of Kingswood. With lavish interior design by acclaimed design practice Alexander James, the fully furnished show home represents the highest calibre of new homes currently on the market.

The signature style of Kingsglade is classic contemporary elegance that creates a welcoming and relaxing environment. The refined interior blends with the timeless Arts & Crafts inspired architecture and the beautiful gardens and mature wooded landscape surrounding it. Kingslade is the only detached property, which along with a collection of well-appointed apartments make up Kingsworthy.

Sales and Marketing Director for Millgate, Jonathan Cranley comments: “An ideal space for entertaining or simply relaxing, Kingsglade is an outstanding home in a great location, perfectly situated to make the most of the fantastic lifestyle on offer in the area. It is designed for a family that enjoys the finer things in life and wants a flexible yet sophisticated space to spend time in. The beautiful interior design shows off this impressive home in its very best light.”

In coming up with an interior design theme for the property, inspiration was taken from the colour scheme of the kitchen, which features tones of duck egg in its bespoke hand-painted cabinetry. Accent colours of teal, turquoise and duck egg are a recurrent theme in the soft furnishings and accessories throughout the house, as interior designer, Sarah Smithers from Alexander James explains: “On entering the kitchen and family room, you are welcomed by the bold yet peaceful duck egg kitchen and the rest of the house takes its cue from this. Blues and teals are on trend for interiors this year and can be simultaneously vibrant and calming, helping create an inviting environment.”

The palette of blue accent colours are featured in a range of tones, from the chic misty blue chaise longue in the graceful hallway, to the light duck egg curtains of the family room, to the deep turquoise velvet cushions in the formal drawing room and master bedroom. Materials and textures are chosen to suit their environment, so in the more relaxed kitchen / family room, light linens and cottons are used and the look is fresh and clean. The drawing room is more formal with its opulent finishes including gilt, mirror and rich fabrics and similarly in the master bedroom, where luxurious satins and velvets feature.

Further details add interest and personality such as the postage stamp wallpaper in the study which lends a bit of fun, the dinosaurs and cacti in bedroom three are chosen with the son of the family in mind and the feature wall in bedroom four, designed for a daughter, is a bold pattern of turquoise against a clean white background.

The interiors scheme complements the specification, which throughout includes state of the art technology and the very best fittings, finished with a meticulous attention to detail. The bespoke Wooden Hart kitchen features granite and quartz worktops and an island unit with breakfast bar. It comes complete with a full range of integrated appliances including a Falcon dual range cooker with extractor hood, an American style fridge/freezer, a Miele combination microwave oven and warming drawer and a Caple wine cooler. The utility room provides extra storage and also has washing machine and tumble dryer.

Stylish bathrooms and en-suites are equipped with white Villeroy & Boch sanitaryware with contemporary Vado chrome furnishings and bespoke vanity units finished with stone tops and large mirrors. Dressing rooms have ample storage with fitted shelves and hanging space. The highly efficient gas fired central heating and hot water system with underfloor heating throughout the ground and first floors ensures the homes are always cosy.

Set within secluded private grounds on a peaceful tree-lined avenue, Kingsworthy combines the delights of village living with the luxuries of a modern lifestyle. Surrounded by green belt woodland and farmland, the village of Kingswood is characterised by its leafy lanes and its beautiful private homes. It offers several independent shops for every day needs, as well as the popular local watering hole, the Kingswood Arms. A couple of miles away, Banstead has a more extensive range of shops including Waitrose. Kingswood train station is within easy walking distance, from where it is just 40 minutes into Central London direct to London Bridge. By car, junction 8 of the M25 is moments away and Gatwick Airport is only 10 miles away.

The apartments at Kingsworthy start from £700,000 and Kingsglade is currently priced at £1,795,000. For more information, visit millgatehomes.co.uk.
