Buyers seeking to benefit from the regeneration successes of Canning Town, E16, and Barking Riverside should look no further than Rawalpindi, a development by Genesis launching late summer 2015. Located between the two regeneration areas, the development offers a superb range of affordable contemporary homes in the well connected London borough of Newham, with private sale apartments in the first phase, and shared ownership from early 2016.

Ideal for investors looking to capitalise on the growth of the development’s East London location, Rawalpindi will feature a collection of one and two bedroom apartments located in a peaceful residential area on Hermit Road, just north of Canning Town. Average property values in the area have increased 21% in the past two years alone according to Zoopla, illustrating the popularity of the area and the need to take advantage of these superb new apartments.

Work has already begun on Hallsville Quarter, the new town centre, which will offer a new supermarket and a range of leisure facilities that residents can take advantage of. To the north, Stratford is a hub of activity, with the Olympic Park and Westfield shopping centre, as well as national and international rail, London underground and DLR services.

Anthony Harker, Head of Commercial at Genesis says of the new homes: “Newham is a busy borough, with extensive regeneration in an already vibrant and culturally diverse part of the capital, making these new homes perfect for buyers looking for a secure investment. Rawalpindi is a celebration of the local area, offering much needed housing to the city’s suburban neighbourhoods. We’ve had great success with previous developments in this area, and we expect this to be just as popular. We’d urge potential homebuyers and investors to register their interest now to avoid missing out at the launch later this summer.”

The homes at Rawalpindi are designed to a stylish modern specification and some benefit from private balconies or terraces. All properties offer wooden floors, modern brushed stainless steel finishes and gloss kitchen units inclusive of integrated appliances such as fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Full height tiling to bathrooms and fitted wardrobes to master bedrooms offer residents all the finishing touches you would expect in a new home from Genesis.

Rawalpindi is ideal for commuters, combining modern urban living with the convenience of a fast commute into central London. Star Lane DLR station is less than half a mile away, offering services to Canary Wharf in just 11 minutes. Northbound DLR services offer connections further afield, including West Ham for Hammersmith & City and District Lines and Stratford for connections to the Central Line, and the development is well served by local bus routes.

For those who like to get outdoors, several parks are close by, including Hermit Road Recreation Ground and Star Lane Park, offering football pitches, games court and children’s play areas. Local amenities include shops, eateries and a supermarket on Barking Road just south of Rawalpindi. For more extensive shopping options Westfield Stratford City has over 300 stores, cinema, casino and restaurants to choose from.

Prices at Rawalpindi are to be released on launch. For more information, visit genesishahomes.org.uk.
