With the first apartments at Morello 12 months from completion, buyers are being urged to plan further ahead if they want to purchase at the popular Croydon development.

Situated close to East Croydon station, just 15 minutes from London Victoria or London Bridge, location has undoubtedly contributed to the success of the development.

Morello will ultimately offer a total of 290 apartments in four connected buildings with concierge and boutique hotel-style reception area.

Homes in the first two buildings are selling fast with more than 95% of Maraschino apartments, plus 90% of the Santina apartments now sold. And while the first homes at Morello will be ready to move into from next October, buyers are already snapping up properties that won’t be complete until April 2018.

Morello is a joint venture from homebuilder Redrow and regeneration specialists Menta, operation under the banner of Menta Redrow.

Sales director Tina Dedman says: “Demand for apartments within easy reach of Central London remains high and the swift commuter links Morello enjoys has certainly influenced many of our buyers. People are also keen to be a part of the regeneration of the area, as the apartment scheme is part of a wider project worth around £3 billion.

“All four of the penthouses were reserved at a special preview event, which also led to further sales. Because of the nature of apartment schemes we’re selling well ahead of build, with the first homes still around a year from being ready to occupy. Based on the popularity of the apartments to date, we’d encourage prospective purchasers to get in touch without delay.”

One, two and three-bedroom apartments at Morello are currently available priced from £317,000 to £590,000.

Along with the apartments there will also be a residents’ gym, enabling homeowners to work out close to home.

Somewhat unusually for an apartment scheme, more than half of the site will be dedicated to gardens, landscaping and public realm improvements, giving residents the opportunity to make the most of the outside space.

The development aims to achieve Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes and has a low emissions strategy.
