In 2015, searches for flights and holidays jumped 68% in the first quarter, according to British Airways, with similar levels expected in 2016, as city workers are longing for an escape from the winter blues. For those who are lucky enough to holiday frequently, a home with easy access to an airport is important. Genesis’ Jessops Building at New Providence Wharf in Poplar, E14 is an ideal jet-setters pad, with London City Airport just six stops away on the DLR.

Also easily accessible from 2018 will be Heathrow, as Canary Wharf’s new Crossrail station, just over half a mile from Jessops Building, will offer direct trains to the international airport in just 39 minutes. For those who prefer train travel, daily Eurostar services from St Pancras International are easily reachable via Stratford, with journeys to Paris, Brussels and Lille.

Ideal for London’s workforce, a range of public transport options are on offer for those who need to get around the capital, including East India DLR station, from where trains take residents to Bank in 13 minutes and Canary Wharf in six.

Currently available at Jessops Building is a selection of one and two bedroom apartments, with stunning contemporary specification. They offer spacious accommodation, with balconies to most apartments. Kitchens feature fitted units with integrated Bosch appliances, including dishwasher and washing machine, as well as granite worktops and chrome fixtures and fittings. The bedrooms are a generous size, and throughout the apartments, full height windows offer plenty of natural light.

Docklands is an area perfectly placed to enjoy the best of the Capital. Just a few minutes’ walk away, Canary Wharf offers plenty of bars and restaurants and high end shopping centre. Less than 30 minutes away from New Providence Wharf by tube is Westfield Stratford City, the largest urban shopping mall in Europe, boasting over 500 shops, a casino, bars and restaurants.

Across the river, the O2 Arena boasts one of the largest live venues, home to various sports and entertainment shows, as well as a choice of bars and restaurants, cinema and the famous Indigo2 nightclub. Closer to home, New Providence Wharf is becoming a destination in its own right. The area is bustling with an array of eateries and bars, hotels and leisure facilities, all in the shadow of Canary Wharf.

The homes at New Providence Wharf are available through a shared ownership scheme allowing buyers to purchase between 25% and 75% of the property, paying subsidised rent on the remainder. Residents can then increase their share at any time, all the way up to 100% and outright ownership. The scheme is specifically designed for first time buyers whose household income is less than £71,000 a year.

Prices at New Providence Wharf start from £101,875 for a 25% share based on the full market value of £407,500 for a one bedroom apartment. To register your interest and for more information, visit genesishahomes.org.uk.
