High demand for Hinckley homes

The Hinckley housing market is hotting up with nine new homes sold at Redrow’s Park View development in just four weeks.

February saw a flurry of sales as the first homeowners moved in and potential purchasers could see the new neighbourhood beginning to take shape.

“Since the start of the year there’s been a real upturn in the local housing market in Hinckley. The increased sales rate at Park View last month is a knock-on effect of January being one of the most popular months of the year to find a new home,” explained Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands).

“Those who sold their home in January were then in a position to buy somewhere new. One customer secured a buyer within seven days of putting their property on the market and they’re now looking forward to moving to a brand new Redrow home.”

The recent success means that many of the homes now on sale won’t be ready to be occupied until the summer. But one lucky buyer could find that moving day is sooner rather than later as there’s a four-bedroom detached Oxford style property that’s already built and simply waiting for the finishing touches that help transform a house into a home.

A traditional looking home with feature bay window and roofed porch, the Oxford is available from £279,995. At its heart is an open plan kitchen and dining room with adjoining utility. A separate lounge, plus convenient cloakroom complete the ground floor.

Upstairs, all four bedrooms are generous proportioned, with the master enjoying an en-suite to complement the family bathroom.

Park View offers a choice of three and four-bedroom homes, all of which can be purchased with Help to Buy. The Government-backed scheme enables buyers to take out an equity loan for up to 20% of the purchase price so that they can purchase a property with 5% deposit and 75% mortgage. Crucially the equity loan is interest free for five years.

The new homes at Park View are being built close to the green spaces and sports pitches of Clarendon Park, while there are local shops on Rugby Road to cater for homeowners’ daily needs. The town centre is within walking distance, offering a wider choice of shops, plus regular markets.

The local train station is just a five minute drive or 15 minute walk away. Trains whisk passengers to Leicester in under 20 minutes, Birmingham in 35 minutes and Coventry within an hour. Even London can be reached inside 90 minutes, including driving to the station.

Show homes at Park View are open daily from 10am to 5.30pm. For more information see redrow.co.uk/parkview.
