‘A ton’ of buyers have moved in to new homes in Market Harborough and with limited availability those harbouring hopes of a move to Rockingham View will need to act fast.

Launched in the summer of 2013, the Glebe Road housing development is now a well established neighbourhood where people really want to live.

The appeal is attributed to a winning formula of location and specification. Market Harborough was last year named in both the Sunday Times Best Places to Live Guide and in the top 30 of the Halifax Rural Quality of Life Survey. Factor in the winning combination of traditional Arts & Crafts architecture and bright, modern interiors and it’s no surprise the homes are in demand.

Tonia Tyler, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), said: “We’ve welcomed more than 100 customers into their new homes at Rockingham View and have a number of people eagerly waiting for their property to be finished so that they can move in too. With the vast majority of homes now sold, there’s a sense of urgency amongst potential purchasers and our sales consultants are taking ‘early bird’ reservations from people keen to secure particular properties not yet on release.”

Among the homes now on sale is the Sunningdale, on the market at £449,950.

Offering 1,619 sq ft of accommodation it’s a generously proportioned property designed with modern living in mind.

The lounge is to the front of the property and is complemented by a snug to the rear, which could be utilised as a study to enable home workers to concentrate away from the hustle and bustle of family life.

A utility room keeps the washer and dryer out of the open plan kitchen and diner, while a convenient WC completes the ground floor. Upstairs there are four good sized bedrooms, two with en-suite, plus the family bathroom.

“There are no hard and fast rules as to how you use the space and those who perhaps don’t need an office may have other ideas for the snug. For example, fitness fanatics could create a home gym,” Tonia adds.

Located in Glebe Road, Market Harborough, little more than half a mile from the town’s Sainsbury and Waitrose supermarkets, Rockingham View is ideally placed. The local train station offers 35 trains a day to London every weekday with journey times from 54 minutes.
