Location and access to a good range of local amenities are key ingredients most house buyers look for when selecting a new home. Bellway’s latest development, Moorfields ticks both these boxes. Situated to the west of Newcastle at West Moor, Moorfields will offer buyers a selection of properties in 3, 4 and 5 bedroom formats.

“We are very excited to bring a selection of new homes to West Moor, said Rob Armstrong, Bellway’s Sales Director. “Buyers will be able to select from a range of property types with a selection of different floor plans to suit first time buyers as well as more mature buyers. West Moor is an excellent location from which to commute and residents will benefit from the developments proximity to a range of shopping outlets at Silverlink, Killingworth and Gosforth.”

Bellway says that its homes at Moorfields include a generous specification which includes gardens and garages, or allocated parking spaces, and many of the homes will feature open-plan living spaces and integrated kitchen appliances.

Bellway is also offering buyers the opportunity to take advantage of the Government’s Help to Buy scheme which means that only a five percent deposit is required to secure a new home. They will then be able to take advantage of a five year twenty percent interest free loan which will reduce mortgage repayments during the first five years of ownership.

For families the development is close to a number of well regarded schools including Westmoor Primary School and George Stephenson High School. Tyne Metropolitan College offers a range of A levels, apprenticeships and higher education courses, while the nearest universities are Newcastle University and Northumbria University, both in the city centre and within easy travel times of Moorfields.

For commuters, the development offers easy access to the A1 for Newcastle, Gateshead, Durham and the south, and the A19 for Sunderland, Middlesbrough, York and Doncaster. The A1058 Coast Road, which connects Tynemouth with Newcastle, can be reached within 10 minutes. The nearest Metro stations are at Four Lane Ends and Palmersville, both seven minutes drive away from the development. For domestic and international flights Newcastle Airport is around 15 minutes drive away via the A1.
