New homes near Crewe are hot property

Crewe comes tops of the props when it comes to value for money and quality of life, but by expanding their search to nearby Haslington buyers could embrace the rural idyll.

Based on value for money – drawn from both prices and average incomes – and the overall quality of life including local employment levels, amenities, schools, connectivity to the internet and accessibility to public transport, Crewe tops Property Week’s Hot Housing Index.

Situated on the edge of the nearby village of Haslington, Vicarage Fields offers easy access to the town, which is well known for its commuter links.

The Elan Homes development is a popular choice with buyers and now that availability is limited, potential purchasers are being urged to act fast to avoid disappointment.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, says: “We have a proven track record of building in some of the region’s most desirable neighbourhoods and while Crewe itself ranks highly when it comes to value and quality of life, the surrounding area has plenty to offer too.

“Location plays a pivotal part in buyers’ decision making when they’re choosing where to live and Vicarage Fields is perfectly placed within a 10 minute drive of the town centre. It’s a great base for commuting by road and rail, plus some of the homes enjoy views over neighbouring farmland. We’d encourage anyone looking for a new home in the Crewe area to visit without delay if they want to purchase one of the remaining properties.”

Current availability includes four-bedroom detached properties priced from £274,995 for a Southwold style home, with the Rochester design available from £284,995.

The good news for those with a home of their own to sell is that Elan is offering part exchange to help them climb the housing ladder. Elan will effectively act as a cash buyer for the customer’s home, enabling them to avoid the uncertainty of complicated chains and allowing homeowners to stay in their existing property until the new one is ready.

Alternatively, buyers could reduce the initial cost of homeownership with the aid of Help to Buy. Someone purchasing in this way should typically only need a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage, with the remaining 20% covered by an equity loan. Crucially the equity loan is interest free for five years and can be repaid when the customer has more funds available.

The show home at Vicarage Fields is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. For more information see elan-homes.co.uk.
