A large number of London purchasers are squeezing into homes too small for them, with the issue being so prevalent that supermarkets are selling compact living ranges including a mini hob and fridge to fit the smaller homes. With a typical one-bedroom flat in London providing just 500 sq ft of living space and many homes considerably smaller, home builder Countryside has prioritised square footage at its Parkside Place development in Wembley. The stylish development’s one-bedroom apartments offer a more generous 581 sq ft and between 722 to 859 sq ft for two bedroom apartments, all with the addition of a private balcony or terrace.

Located in an enviable position opposite the historic Barham Park, featuring mature trees, water features, flower beds and a peaceful walled garden, Parkside Place provides spacious, contemporary interiors, modern design and flexible light-filled living spaces. The collection of one and two-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom duplexes and three-bedroom houses boast elegant, modern architecture that complements the open plan interiors.

Amanda Nesbitt, Associate Sales & Marketing Director at Countryside Partnerships South comments: “The Government announced in its recent Housing White Paper that it would be reviewing space standards and our customers tell us that they want more space, not less. At Parkside Place we set out to create spacious one-bedroom homes, with generous hallways, storage cupboards and spacious rooms, complete with large balconies, terraces or winter gardens that act as an extension of the living space. First time buyers will need to move quickly though to secure more space for their money, alongside the glorious green space of one of London’s most beautiful parks.”

Offering great outdoor space for residents to relax and enjoy, the newly released Primrose, Regent and Kensington Buildings have been designed around an attractive communal landscaped podium garden. Each property features generous private terraced gardens and balconies which are the perfect setting for entertaining friends or dining al fresco on warm evenings. Residents of the Kensington Building also have access to a thoughtfully designed courtyard, another perfect place to relax.

Specification is second to none, with open plan living/kitchen/dining areas fitted with contemporary stone grey kitchens with handleless gloss units, reconstituted stone worktops and a full range of integrated appliances. Master bedrooms benefit from floor to ceiling fitted wardrobes, with a separate contemporary bathroom fitted with white sanitaryware, chrome accessories, mirror fronted Driftwood cabinets and ceramic wall and floor tiles. Timber effect flooring runs throughout the kitchens, living areas and hallways, with carpets fitted in the bedrooms for extra comfort. For car owners, parking spaces are also available to purchase on selected plots.

London Help to Buy is available at Parkside Place, enabling a wide range of homebuyers including first time buyers and second steppers to enjoy more space for their money. Just a 5% deposit is needed, with the Government providing an equity loan for up to 40% of the purchase price, interest free for the first five years.

Despite its proximity to central London, Wembley is a green area packed with public open spaces and parks where residents can escape the bustle of London life. Commuters are well connected, with Sudbury Town tube station on the Piccadilly line just a five-minute walk away, linking to the centre of the city and Heathrow Airport. National Rail services and the Bakerloo line run from Wembley Central to Paddington in just twenty minutes, while the North Circular, A40 and the M4 are all within easy reach, taking motorists into central London and connecting to the UK’s wider motorway network.

Parkside Place is perfectly located for shoppers, close to Wembley High Street and just over two miles from The London Designer Outlet in Wembley, boasting 75 shopping outlets, 15 restaurants and a nine-screen Cineworld complex. Brent Cross Shopping Centre is a fifteen-minute drive away, with over 120 stylish shops, cafes and restaurants.

Prices for a one-bedroom apartment start from £350,000, two-bedroom apartments from £435,000 and three-bedroom duplexes available from £525,000. Three bedroom townhouses are also available from £599,995. All the properties can be purchased through the London Help to Buy scheme. For more information, visit parkside-place.net.
