Homebuyers looking for their dream home in Telford are being encouraged to enquire about the new homes at Lovell’s recently opened development on Matlock Avenue.

The two and three bedroom homes at the stylish new development, The Oaklands, are ideal for first time buyers. The homes are ready to move into this summer, meaning that there is no stress of an upward chain and making the process of moving in quicker and easier.

Money can be saved as the new homes at The Oaklands are furnished with integrated appliances, including a fridge freezer, a Bosch stainless steel electric oven and a Bosch stainless steel four ring gas hob.

First time homebuyers can also save on their energy bills. The homes at The Oaklands are more energy efficient compared to older homes. According to Rightmove, a new home is up to four times more energy efficient than a traditional second hand home. This is due to excellent insulation and the materials used for new homes. Living at The Oaklands therefore offers a more eco-friendly lifestyle, while saving money in the long term.

All Lovell homes are built with a 10 year National House Building Council (NHBC) warranty, meaning that homebuyers can be assured that they are buying a home built to the latest industry standards.

Michelle Barnsley, Field Sales Manager at Lovell Homes, said: “We build our homes to the highest specification. 95% of the buildings materials used are made in Britain, meaning that Lovell homes are built to the utmost quality as standard.

“The Oaklands is the perfect development for first time buyers. The new homes are located close to Telford with excellent transport links. There are also many schools nearby, making the development an ideal place for homebuyers looking to settle and start a family.

“With prices starting from £164,950, the homes at The Oaklands are affordable. We are also proud to offer the Government’s Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme, as we want to help first time buyers get their foot on the property ladder.”

The Government Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme allows homebuyers to buy a new home under the value of £600,000 with just a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage, with the final 20% made up by an equity loan provided by the Government.

Homebuyers who purchase plot 88 at The Oaklands, a Westwood style three bedroom semi-detached home with a single garage and fitted carpets throughout, will be offered £1000 towards their legal fees. The home is priced at £164,950 or £131,960 with the Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme, where only a 5% deposit of £8,248 is required. The equity loan provided by the Government is £32,990 and the mortgage required by homebuyers is £123,713.
