NEW homes close to the Trent and Mersey Canal have splashed onto the Middlewich housing market.

Niche developer Elan Homes has just launched Canalside, on Croxton Lane, offering 19 private sale properties.

They’re currently available to reserve ‘off plan’ with a show home coming soon to inspire buyers.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “Less than a mile from Middlewich town centre, the new homes at Canalside are perfectly placed to enjoy all that this part of East Cheshire has to offer including leisurely strolls along the towpath, a bite to eat in one of the local independent cafes or restaurants or a spot of shopping on the High Street. Plus, the area is also home to a good choice of schools, making it the ideal choice for families.

“We’ve launched the properties ‘off plan’ in response to the volume of enquiries we’ve received from prospective purchasers and would encourage would-be homeowners to get in touch at the earliest opportunity. Those who buy in the early stages of a development will have more to choose from in terms of the style of property and its position. They will also be able to customise their new home choosing from a range of interior styling options including the kitchen units and bathroom tiles amongst other high quality fixtures and fittings.”

Canalside offers two, three and four-bedroom homes. Current prices are from £314,995 for a four-bedroom detached Southwold style property.

It offers 1,283 sq ft of well-planned living space including lounge with feature bay window to the front of the property. Double doors lead from this relaxing space through to the open plan kitchen and dining room. A utility and cloakroom complete the ground floor.

Upstairs, the master bedroom benefits from an en-suite, with the remaining three bedrooms sharing the family bathroom.

As part of the development, Elan will build a small number of affordable homes.

The homebuilder will also provide a footpath link to the towpath to enable residents to make the most of the location.

The niche developer has also agreed to pay more than £6,500 to upgrade play equipment at Fountain Fields Park and provided a further contribution to fund 25 years’ worth of maintenance for the upgraded equipment.

The large oak tree within the site will be retained to form a key feature of the development alongside an area of open space so that residents can enjoy living in a leafy setting

The marketing suite at Canalside is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 5pm. For more information see elan-homes.co.uk/canalside.
