Those who hope to step onto the housing ladder in Macclesfield in 2018 could receive a helping hand with a visit to Hope Park Mews this Saturday (January 20).

Elan Homes is hosting a special Help to Buy event to guide potential purchasers through the Government-backed equity loan scheme. The niche developer’s sales executives will be joined by representatives from Plus Dane, the North West’s Help to Buy agent, and financial advisors from RSC New Homes.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, explained: “This event will help clear up some of the mysteries behind Help to Buy, including if homebuyers are eligible, which properties they can buy using the scheme, what deposit they will need to raise and how much interest they will pay.

“It’s a straight forward process made even more simple by a team of advisors who can be with buyers every step of the way, providing guidance.”

Hope Park Mews offers a good choice of three and four-bedroom properties, all of which fall within the Help to Buy threshold and are also Stamp Duty exempt for first time buyers.

Typically someone purchasing with Help to Buy only needs a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage as the remaining 20% is covered by the equity loan, which is interest free for five years.

Current prices start from £231,995 for a three-bedroom Wyre style property.

A four-bedroom Avon, set out over three floors, is almost ready to move into from £274,995.

It features a well equipped kitchen to the front, with combined lounge and dining room to the rear, plus a convenient cloakroom.

On the first floor are three bedrooms, plus the family bathroom. The piece de resistance is the top floor master bedroom with en suite.

“For those wanting to become more active in 2018, Hope Park Mews offers the ideal solution as they’ll be able walk into Macclesfield town centre or even explore the Peak District National Park,” Marie added.

“The location of our homes means there’s no need to compromise as there are plenty of shopping and dining opportunities nearby, plus beautiful natural surroundings and well regarded schools. It’s also a great base to commute from as Manchester is easily accessible too.”

To find out more about Help to Buy, visit Hope Park Mews on West Park Drive, on January 20. The show home at the development is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm.
