The Chancellor’s Autumn Budget saw the abolishment of the stamp duty land tax for first-time buyers on property purchases up to £300,000, helping around 80 per cent get on the housing ladder without paying hefty stamp duty fees. Extending a helping hand to all buyers, Millwood Designer Homes is currently offering an incentive of stamp duty paid to purchasers on homes at their West Sussex development, Monks Meadow.

Located in the sought-after village of Ardingly, Monks Meadow offers a collection of ten traditionally styled detached four and five bedroom homes. Nestled in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the development is surrounded by beautiful scenery and overlooks an ancient forest and beautiful meadow, as well as being served by excellent travel connections. Millwood’s generous stamp duty offer will allow purchasers to make huge savings of least £24,750 on the range of family homes currently available.

Philip Brown, Sales Director at Millwood Designer Homes comments: “The Chancellor’s changes to stamp duty will certainly have a profound impact on the lower end of the market and first-time buyers. We are delighted to be able to extend this further, so all types of buyers can benefit from savings on stamp duty. This incentive is already proving to be successful at the development with the current show home having recently been reserved. Each of the properties at Monks Meadow offer an outstanding family home in a beautiful location.”

The Stanford is an example of one of the impressive five-bed properties available at Monks Meadow. Offering spacious living accommodation across three floors, the open plan kitchen and breakfast room creates the ideal space to spend time as a family. The separate dining room offers a space for formal entertaining, whilst the living room features double doors opening out onto the garden. A utility room completes the ground floor.

The first floor is home to four bedrooms, a well-appointed family bathroom and the generous master suite, the perfect retreat for parents. The second floor features a guest bedroom with large wardrobes and en-suite and a home office completes this floor. All homes at Monks Meadow feature the same exceptional internal specification, for which Millwood is renowned. Kitchens are sleek, with quartz worktops and a range of integrated appliances. Bathrooms feature contemporary white bathroom suites, ceramic tiling, and chrome accessories.

Ardingly offers a wealth of amenities, including a post office, bakery, café and two good schools. Directly opposite the development is the highly rated public school of Ardingly College, for children aged two to 18 and is ranked within the top ten independent boarding schools in the country. Ardingly Reservoir is just two miles away, providing water-sport activities, together with a 198-acre nature reserve with a picturesque waterside setting.

Ideal for commuters, the development is less than four miles from Haywards Heath train station, offering trains to London Bridge or London Victoria up to five times an hour, both in 48 minutes. Equally, the M23 is just nine miles away, which leads directly north to the M25, or south to the coast for Brighton. For those that fly regularly, Gatwick Airport is approximately 12 miles from Monks Meadow.

Prices at Monks Meadow start from £695,000 for a four-bedroom home, and £875,000 for a five-bedroom home. For more information, visit millwooddesignerhomes.co.uk.
