Show home set to make a splash in Middlewich

Choosing a new home at Canalside in Middlewich will be plain sailing with the opening of a show home this Saturday (March 3).

Properties at the Elan Homes development have been selling off plan since the autumn. Some people have been keen to purchase at the earliest opportunity, including those who made ‘early bird reservations’ for homes not yet released for sale; while others have been eagerly awaiting the show home before making a commitment.

The professionally styled and fully furnished four-bedroom detached Brandon show home is sure to impress, enabling Elan to build on the off plan success of the development.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “The homes we’re building at Canalside are located in an affluent part of Middlewich, where people want to live. ‘When is the show home opening’ is perhaps the question our sales executives are asked most and we’re glad to be able to confirm that from this weekend (March 3) buyers will be able to view a finished example of the Brandon.

“It’s a substantial, double-fronted home that offers style and space in abundance. Externally it looks very traditional, with lots of character, while inside it’s every inch a modern family home, with a carefully selected specification that’s certain to inspire.”

The Brandon offers 1,298 sq ft of living space including a lounge which stretches from the front to the rear, with windows at the front and side offering lots of natural light to emphasise its spaciousness. On the opposite side of the hallway is the open plan kitchen, dining and family room. A utility and cloakroom complete the ground floor.

Upstairs, there are four bedrooms, including master with en suite, plus the family bathroom.

Current prices at Canalside are from £239,995 and all of the properties fall within the threshold for Help to Buy equity loans.

“Hundreds of thousands of people have used Help to Buy over the last five years, but there are still those who either aren’t familiar with the scheme or what it means for them,” Marie added.

“In simple terms, Help to Buy enables buyers to take out an equity loan for up to 20% of the purchase price. This means they could secure a property with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage.”

Located on Croxton Lane, residents of Canalside will be able to embrace all that the neighbourhood has to offer, from leisurely strolls along the towpath, to dining in one of the local independent cafes or restaurants or shopping on the High Street. Plus, with a good choice of schools in the area, it’s the ideal choice for families.
