Combining modern country cosiness with added glamour and personality, a visit to the chic new show home at The Hawthorns in Lach Dennis is a must for Cheshire buyers hoping to sample rural village living at its best.

In the lounge the mink grey and taupe tones are offset by a burnt orange rug and walnut tables plus circular mirror over the fire place.
Vertical striped wallpaper in the dining room creates a wood effect, and is complemented by ombre curtains, a beautiful stone based lamp plus white high gloss dining table with mink grey chairs.
While the lounge and dining room are ideal for entertaining, the combined kitchen, breakfast area and family room is at the heart of everyday living.
Feature wallpaper in the family area has a geometric print in orange, with a three seater chaise helping create a relaxing space; while the breakfast table set for five looks out to the garden.
An orange feature wall in the long galley kitchen offsets the white cabinets and drawers by adding a splash of colour.
A monthly planner in the utility shows that this is a busy family.
“We’ve had some fun with the design to reflect the personalities of the people we imagine might live there,” Alex added.
“One of the bedrooms has an art theme to it and so we enlisted the help of an aspiring teen artist to hand paint art work to complement the mural on the wall. We’ve accessorised this room with artist materials, while in an older teen’s room we’ve used basketball trainers to create a clock and also added other sporting memorabilia.”
There’s also a younger child’s bedroom with fun faces on the wallpaper and coordinating embroidered fabrics, plus soft toys on the day bed.
In the master bedroom there’s deep damask wall paper with an accent of burnt orange and a head board adorned with crystals for a touch of glamour.
A pussy willow bed head with matching cushions in the remaining bedroom adds a splash of colour to the earthy tones.
