Student loans made headlines recently, and families with university-aged children, who want their offspring to get the best possible education, without accruing enormous debt, might consider keeping their kids at home for the duration of their degree – if they had the space. At Southside Close in Uxbridge, Annington has created flexible and contemporary homes that allow for the changing requirements of a growing family – from infants to students.

The four-bedroom homes at Southside Close have been designed with flexibility in mind. An open-plan ground floor allows for shared family time, from comfortable toddler play on the heated floor to pushing the furniture back to host multiple teens on a sleepover.

The top floor of the three storey home has a spacious double bedroom with en suite shower room, providing extra versatility as the family grows and needs change. It’s the ideal retreat for busy parents, as well as allowing for some much-needed space and privacy for a young adult who’s studying at home. As well as this, there are a further three double bedrooms, one with en suite shower room, and a family bathroom on the first floor.

Sally Parsons, Property Director at Annington said: “As families grow their accommodation requirements change. At Southside Close we’ve designed homes that will suit your family, whatever phase it’s in. Whether you need a guest room where helpful grandparents can stay to help with childcare during school holidays or a more private space for a young adult or recent graduate who wants some independence.”

The contemporary homes have a high level of specification, with underfloor heating to the ground floor and an air source heat pump system. Well equipped for modern technology, there’s Gigabit Ethernet, CAT 6 data points and smart technology solutions. Additionally, there’s allocated parking, charging points for electric cars and lockable cycle storage to each home.

Southside Close is a new development of eight, three and four-bedroom homes within walking distance of Uxbridge station and just a couple of miles from the nearest Crossrail station at West Drayton. By road, the homes are handy for the A40, M25 and M40, plus Heathrow less than six miles away.

Families will be pleased to learn that the homes are within the admission area of ‘outstanding’ state primary and secondary schools, plus Brunel University – which recently sent bobsleighers to PyeongChang as part of team GB – is nearby.

The remaining four-bedroom homes at Southside Close are for sale priced at £725,000. For further information, visit southsideclose.co.uk.
