Bexhill housebuilder, David Wilson Homes is hosting a Help to Buy event next weekend, with a view to help first time buyers onto the property ladder at its Rosewood Park development. Taking place on Saturday 16th February from 11am until 4pm, the helpful event will offer prospective buyers advice about the equity loan scheme which only requires a 5 per cent deposit.

A Help to Buy representative will be available at the event to explain the scheme in greater depth. The event is expected to be well attended due to popularity of the scheme with a range of homebuyers. Three show homes will also be open on the day to offer potential buyers a glimpse of life at Rosewood Park.

Help to Buy, the Government’s popular equity loan scheme, helps both first time buyers and house movers purchase a brand new home with lower upfront costs. The helpful scheme means that buyers only need to raise a five per cent deposit, while the Government steps in with an interest-free (for the first five years) loan of a further 20% of the property value. Using Help to Buy, buyers are also able to access more affordable 75% loan-to-value mortgages.

Help to Buy is available with new homes worth up to the value of £600,000, meaning that many of the new homes at Rosewood Park are available with the scheme.

Natalie Perry, Sales and Marketing Director for David Wilson Homes says: “Help to Buy is a fantastic scheme which has helped hundreds of buyers move onto or up the property ladder. The scheme has already been very well received at Rosewood Park and so we expect to see this continue to be the case. Whether you are looking for an apartment or a family home, Help to Buy will really give you a much-needed boost.”

Rosewood Park is an attractive contemporary, new homes development in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex. The stylish new homes offer a range of new properties from one- and two-bedroom apartments to larger three and four-bedroom family homes.

Prices at Rosewood Park currently start from £172,995, meaning that with a five per cent deposit through Help to Buy, buyers will only require a deposit of just £8650.
