4th June 2007 Print
NatWest, leader in Student Banking, is today launching its 2007 Student Package offering both competitive financial benefits and market leading incentives such as the 5-Year Young Persons Railcard, worth £100.

This card gives students a one third discount on most rail fares across Britain every time it is used, with an average saving of £114 a year.

The 2007 student package includes an exceptional negotiable overdraft facility meaning that all agreed borrowing above the set yearly limits (£1250 in year 1, £1400 in year 2, £1600 in year 3, £1800 in year 4 and £2000 in year 5) is also INTEREST FREE.

NatWest works hard to offer a modern and practical approach to student banking and all Students who apply online before 31 October 2007 will receive a free Microsoft Windows Live Messenger webcam and microphone so that they can keep in touch with friends and family back home.

This year NatWest offers enhanced expertise in the form of Students Advisers and has 55 campus branches around the UK, more than any other bank. The 2007 Student Package also includes the provision of an exclusive ‘Student Finance Guide’ for all account holders, which details everything students need to know about financing their future and balancing the books whilst at university.

In addition to the service NatWest provides Students, it also has a Graduate package offering customers an interest free overdraft for an additional three years after graduation. This helps make the transition from Student to Graduate life as easy as possible and allows NatWest to offer tailored financial support spanning a full six years.

Mark Worthington, Head of Student and Graduate Banking, said: “When choosing a student account, you should look for a bank that really understands the situation students are in, offers flexibility and has a good interest free overdraft facility. The NatWest 2007 student package has evolved in response to what students have told us really matters to them. Not only does it offer excellent financial advantages, such as the exceptional interest free overdraft facility and practical benefits such as the Railcard, but also genuine student expertise allowing us to give each of our student customers the additional support they may need at this new and exciting time in their lives.”
