HSBC current account plus offers one great rate

HSBC is offering a current account with the same great interest rate whether you are in credit or in overdraft.

Until 31 March 2008, all customers taking out a new 12-month contract for HSBC’s Bank Account Plus will receive eight per cent AER on the first £1000 of their credit balance and eight per cent EAR for overdraft borrowing up to £1000 for 12 months.

HSBC Plus costs £12.95 per month for a minimum 12 month contract and offers:

8% AER on balances up to £1,000 with a High Interest Savings Account for Children
Worldwide family travel insurance - including winter sports cover;
Preferential rates, terms or discounts available on , mortgages, Personal loans, savings and insurance;
Credit card - annual 10% interest refund with your HSBC Bank credit card;
Identity Theft Assistance and Personal Security Protection - available 24/7 with a dedicated helpline;

24/7 telephone banking.
