Alliance & Leicester £100 current account incentive still available
As the January window for Premier League football clubs to switch players draws to a close, research from Alliance & Leicester Current Accounts reveals two thirds (67 per cent) of UK banking customers have remained with the same current account provider for the last decade, despite competitive offers on the market. The research also reveals that despite one quarter of Brits saying they are more likely to use their overdraft this year, a meagre 13 per cent said they will look to switching from their existing current account provider to a better deal. Such attitudes from Premiership managers would probably get them sacked and see their team relegated, to boot!
Andy Muddimer, Current Accounts Manager at Alliance & Leicester said: "It's a shame that some of us fail to put the same amount of effort into organising our finances, as we do with our leisure activities, such as football. People should be looking to make their money stretch further at this time, and one of the best ways to do this is with a best-buy current account.
"The football transfer window is the time for a team to take stock and look around for a good deal that can serve them well and give them good value. People should be reviewing their finances in a similar way, and if there is a good deal out there, they should get rid of their uncompetitive account and make the transfer to a better deal - one that could even see them with a £100 signing-on bonus."
For current account holders who are fed up with their home team, Alliance & Leicester offers many reasons to switch to a better current account deal including:
£100 incentive offered to new customers who choose to switch to the Premier Current Account or Premier 50 Current Account.
A market-leading 6.5% AER credit interest rate on Premier Direct or Premier 50 Current Accounts
An eye-popping 8% AER for 16 to 21 year olds through Premier 21 Current Account
Recommend a Friend scheme gives £25 each to the Alliance & Leicester current account customer and the person who is recommended.
Alliance & Leicester offers the ‘Premier Switching Service' for customers switching accounts to one of Alliance & Leicester's Premier range of accounts - it takes the hassle out of transferring existing direct debits and standing orders from a customer's current bank. If a customer uses the switching service, Alliance & Leicester is also able to match the overdraft limit they had with their old bank.
