This is the perfect time for people to reassess their finances to ensure they are taking advantage of the best deals on the market.
"With many people looking for ways to save money at the moment, the simple act of switching to a more competitive current account this Spring could really help your cash go further.
"People are feeling the pinch, and this offer provides a win-win for people. They get to pocket £100 for switching to Alliance & Leicester, and they get a better current account into the bargain."
Londoners are most apathetic when it comes to switching current accounts
Londoners are the most likely to remain with their current account provider the longest, making it the ‘sticking' capital of the UK, according to the research. One in five Londoners (20 per cent) admit they have stayed with their current account provider for over 30 years compared to just 8 per cent of those living in the North East.
Premier Switching Service
Alliance & Leicester offers a ‘Premier Switching Service' for customers switching to any of its four current accounts: Premier, Premier Direct, Premier 50 and Premier 21. The service takes the hassle out of transferring existing direct debits and standing orders from a customer's current bank.
