Barclays has unveiled its improved student package for 2009 providing them with an interest-free overdraft facility of up to £2,000, regardless of year of study, and a mobile broadband offer through Orange giving our customers 25 per cent off the normal monthly cost and a free USB modem, with potential savings of up to £112.50.

Students opening a Student Additions bank account will be able to apply for an interest-free overdraft of up to £2,000 for the duration of their studies, and up to a further £1000 at a rate of 8.9 per cent EAR. The mobile broadband offers are all based on 18 month plans and priced at £7.50 a month for 1GB, £11.25 a month for 3GB, and £18.75 a month for 10GB.
