Enhanced offer on highly regarded investment trust range

10th January 2007 Print
Gartmore today announces details of an enhanced offer available to new investors into the company’s investment trust ISA, the Gartmore ISAit, for the duration of the 2007 ISA season.

With immediate effect:

Initial fee of 3% will be removed from all new investments in Gartmore’s investment trust ISAit and PEPit schemes

Lump sum and minimum transfer value will be reduced from £3,000 to £1,000

Minimum amount for the monthly savings on ISAit will be reduced from £100 to £50

Gartmore, rather than the underlying investor, will bear the cost of commission to IFAs.

Gartmore’s specialist investment trust stable includes trusts managed by Gervais Williams, Gartmore’s highly regarded smaller companies portfolio manager. Gervais manages the award winning and strongly performing Gartmore Irish Growth Fund PLC; the innovative Gartmore Growth Opportunities plc which has a strong track record in investing in UK Smaller Companies; and the award winning and unique Gartmore Fledgling Trust plc, which Gervais co-manages with Andrew Russell.

The Gartmore investment trust range also includes:

the top performing Gartmore European Investment Trust p.l.c. which is managed by Roger Guy, one of the investment industry’s most talented portfolio managers;

the Gartmore Global Trust PLC which is managed by Brian O’Neill and has delivered consistent long-term out performance. This Trust aims to deliver Long-term capital growth from a concentrated portfolio of international equities;

the Gartmore Smaller Companies Trust p.l.c. where fund manager Rob Giles has a proven long term record of successful stock selection that should enhance the Company’s returns.

Paul Feeney, Director of Gartmore and Head of Distribution comments, “Gartmore has a specialist range of top performing investment trusts. We believe that investors focusing on the investment trust sector will be attracted by this enhanced offer. Also, we expect that market conditions will continue to favour equities. Although it’s likely that global economic growth will be slower in 2007 than in the last couple of years, overall the growth trend should remain positive. We therefore believe that this year’s ISA season will be very busy.

“Gartmore is committed to developing its market share of the investment trust retail market and these changes will ensure that Gartmore remains highly competitive in the investment trust industry.”
