Coventry staff choose their ‘Charity of the Year’
Coventry Building Society is delighted to announce that the Royal National Institute of the Blind (RNIB) has been chosen as its first ever ‘Charity of the Year’.RNIB is the leading charity working in the UK offering practical support, advice and information to anyone with sight problems.
RNIB was chosen from charities nominated by Society staff, who will support RNIB throughout the year with various fundraising activities.
Customers of the Coventry will also be able to support RNIB by making donations into RNIB's Sooty boxes which are in every branch, or directly into the newly opened Appeal Account – 06 1164111.
Richard Field, head of communications at Coventry Building Society said: “The Coventry is well known for its community activities and we are delighted to be supporting RNIB. We aim to help them, not just with money, but with our time, energy and expertise, to make things happens at a local and national level. All of us at the Coventry look forward to working closely with RNIB during 2007.”
