RBS launches mobile banking service in North Wales
The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has today launched a new state of the art mobile banking service in North Wales. The mobile service, which is the first of it's kind in the area, will operate from Llandudno and run five days a week serving fourteen Welsh communities.
The North Wales mobile bank is the latest addition to RBSG's existing fleet of seventeen mobile banks, which collectively visit over 300 communities throughout Scotland, England and Wales, making over 23,000 stops a year and covering in excess of 150,000 miles. In addition, RBS also has a flying bank which services communities on the Orkney Islands.
Ewen Munro, Managing Director RBS Retail, said: "The launch of our mobile bank in North Wales demonstrates how committed we are to providing banking services to our customers in their local communities. We have been investing in the mobile banking service for 60 years and even provide a flying bank for the islands off the coast of Scotland. At a time when other organisations are closing branches, we still firmly believe that our branch network and services such as the mobile banks, are crucial for the communities they serve."
The mobile bank will offer the normal range of day to day banking services including:
Paying in cash and cheques
Cash withdrawals
Making bill payments
Ordering foreign currency
