Beginning of a new era of private banking combining technological demands of customers with traditional service values
In recognition of a heritage which dates back to 1816, Cater Allen will retain its corporate colours of silver and blue but adopt the Santander corporate flame logo.
In 1997 Cater Allen joined the Abbey National Group plc and in 2004, along with the rest of the Abbey group of companies, was acquired by Banco Santander.
This rebrand brings together the traditional personal service values of Cater Allen and the innovation of one of the world’s most technologically advanced banks. Cater Allen has already benefited from Santander’s investment in 2004 when it enhanced its telephony service and, from 1 May, on-line banking will be introduced.
Richard Dunn, Cater Allen’s Managing Director, said: “Cater Allen’s heritage of service, which has been shaped over the last two hundred years, will now be coupled with the technology, resources and commitment of one of the world’s largest banks”.
“This will allow us to offer an excellent level of service to the 21st Century customer who requires flexibility and multiple access channels to help meet ever increasing time constraints.”
Unlike most traditional private banks, Cater Allen offers more ‘inclusive’ banking that requires a minimum cash deposit of just £5,000, but offers access to the superior service associated with a private bank.
