BBA welcomes customer satisfaction report

14th September 2007 Print
The British Bankers' Association has welcomed new research showing that the vast majority of customers are satisfied with their bank.

A study released today by J.D. Power and Associates shows that almost three-quarters of banking customers would recommend their bank to others and almost half have done so in the past year.

British Bankers' Association Chief Executive Angela Knight CBE said: "The silent majority has spoken. Despite what some self-appointed 'consumer champions' might tell you, international comparisons show clearly that UK banks provide consumers with transparent, diverse services that are good value for money - services that consumers in many countries could only wish for."

"All banks strive to provide the best possible customer service and it is great to see this reflected in today's research. This is further evidence that we are providing the service that customers want, and we will continue to strive to keep it that way."
