Sainsbury’s offers chance to become a “Nectar Millionaire”

27th September 2007 Print
Sainsbury’s Bank will be making five customers “Nectar Millionaires” between now and Christmas. Any customer who buys a new Sainsbury’s insurance product or renews their current insurance policy with Sainsbury’s between 2nd October and 30th November 2007 will be entered into a prize draw where five winners will be selected at random and collect one million Nectar points each.

Nectar points can be used to purchase a wide range of treats and experiences. Some suggestions as to how to spend a portion of the one million Nectar points are below:

Two first-class return tickets to Sydney, Australia
A trip on the legendary Orient Express
30 exhilarating minutes flying in a Tiger Moth
A romantic gourmet retreat to France

In real terms one million Nectar points equates to a significant prize. If just redeemed on flights alone to a single destination, one million Nectar points could buy either 50 return trips to New York, 25 return trips to Los Angeles, 15 return trips to Hawaii or nine return trips to Sydney.

The draw will happen in mid-December and will make five lucky customers “Nectar Millionaires” in time for Christmas. The initiative supports Nectar’s re-launch campaign, which encourages Nectar collectors to “treat themselves with Nectar”.

Karen Preston, from Sainsbury’s Insurance commented: “We are delighted to be supporting the Nectar re-launch and giving our customers the opportunity to win a significant reward. The beauty of Nectar is the wide range of treats customers can choose from, whether it’s a once in a life-time family holiday to Australia with £2,000 worth of spending money, or a case of quality wine every week for a year.”
