James Caldwell, Director of Fair investment Company, comments on MoneySavingExpert.com’s findings regarding the OFT vs the banks: “While it is a positive thing that some of the banks are starting to readjust the charges they enforce to be in line with figures deemed reasonable by the OFT the situation regarding the reclaiming of bank charges will not be much clearer for customers who wish to get their money back if the case does not go to court.

“A potentially lengthy court case will undoubtedly delay many people’s claims, but as MoneySavingExpert.com’s research has found, an overwhelming majority of customers would rather stick it out for the long haul if it means that clarity will be the ultimate reward.”
