Leeds donates high quality garments to Barnardo’s
Leeds Building Society has replaced its corporate uniform to a design that reflects its modern and forward thinking image. The redundant high quality garments from the previous uniform range have been donated to the children's charity Barnardo's.Paul Kaye, General Manager Sales said, "We are delighted with our new corporate uniform, but our previous uniform served us well for seven years and the fabrics remained of very high quality. We therefore approached U.K. based Barnardo's to donate the redundant garments from our old uniform range. We are very pleased that Barnardo's agreed to accept these, and these were recently collected from our Head Office Building."
Martin Narey, Barnardo's Chief Executive said, "We are very grateful to Leeds Building Society for their kind donation. We rely on generous donations such as these and they will certainly be put to good use.
"The collection of all the old uniforms from the Leeds Building Society Head Office was quite an occasion with a lot of manpower involved! Donations on such a large scale and with such high quality fabrics involved are rare indeed and will make such a difference to vulnerable children."
