F&C publish free "Guide to Investing for Children"

F&C have published a free "Guide to Investing for Children", designed to show investors that giving their child a financial head start in life is achievable and how to go about this.

It outlines potential costs, choices, useful websites and at the same time cuts through the financial jargon to provide all the helpful information investors may need. The guide covers long-term savings such as the Government Child Trust Fund which runs until a child reaches 18 - and how investors can top it up with an extra £1,200 a year. It also highlights long-term as well as short-term investment options, whilst laying bare the tax facts about children.
