Wedding Belles opt for cosmetic surgery

A leading London cosmetic surgeon has reported a rise in women having cosmetic surgery for their big day. Dalia Nield (dalianieldplasticsurgeon.com), based at The London Clinic, says she has noticed a 50 per cent increase in the run up to summer, with many women opting for cosmetic surgery to enable them to look great when walking down the aisle. But it’s not all about bigger breasts and slimmer thighs. Sarah Rowan, aged 30, from York, had cosmetic surgery for a very different reason.

Sarah had dreamed of her big day and wearing her hair up, but her sticking out ears meant she’d always felt very conscious of showing them and had had long hair for as long as she could remember, which she always wore loose.

“I was teased and bullied at school for having ‘bat ears’ and something like that stays with you into adulthood. I felt my ears were protruding and very noticeable from the back. The wedding day is the most important day of a woman’s life and every woman wants to look their best. It’s the one day all eyes are on you.”
