Say farewell to winter with an exotic spa treatment

To usher in the start of spring, the ESPA staff have hand-picked a range of seasonally-inspired remedies that are designed to cleanse and uplift the body and soul. If the usual healthy glow of your skin has been in hibernation for the last few months, the Rehydrating Facial (55 mins £45) or Winter Skin Nourishing Wrap (55 mins £55) is perfect for some much-needed revitalisation, while the Relaxing Salt and Oil Scrub (25 mins £25) will liven up even the most weathered winter pores.
For an added bit of warmth, Fistral Spa is offering Back, Neck and Shoulder Massage with Hot Stones (40 mins £40) and Holistic Hand and Nail or Foot and Nail Treatments, also with Hot Stones (55 mins £40). Both treatments are designed to soothe and relax while also improving circulation and alleviating any built up tension – the perfect way to shrug off those February blues.
“So many people fail to realise just how in need of a bit of professional pampering they are,” says Diane Nettleton, owner of Fistral Spa.
“Winter can be a very long and hard period of time and if you haven’t been exercising or getting as much fresh air as you would in the summertime, then your body is probably desperate for a bit of care and attention. The winter treatments we offer are specifically structured to make you feel fresh all over again. With spring on its way, it’s a great time to have a treatment and feel replenished, invigorated and ready to take on the world in 2009!”
Fistral Spa is open daily from 10am to 6pm and guests can feel free to use the state-of-the-art fitness suite and heated indoor swimming pool (with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi), or simply unwind in the luxurious and softly-lit Relaxation Room. For an extended stay, The Bay Hotel offers accommodation and spa inclusive ‘Winter Rejuvenate Breaks’ which start at £109 for 2 nights. These are available until 31st March.
