Optical delusion is a fight for poor eyes
People are not getting their eyes tested as regularly as they should because they are scared of the high cost of buying new frames.“The view that new prescriptions automatically mean new frames is a myth created by high street opticians looking to maximise their profits”, says CiliaryBlue.com, the online optics shop supplying quality lenses for a third of the price of the high street.
“People are not always quick to have their eyes tested even when their lenses are clearly not doing the trick anymore,” says Chris Tomlinson of CiliaryBlue.com.
“By wearing old lenses they may actually be damaging their eyesight rather than preserving it. CiliaryBlue.com thinks it should be compulsory to have what we call an iMOT every two years, especially for drivers.”
Tomlinson says that in a recession people are more likely to stick with their old glasses but that there is an alternative to splashing out on a new pair.
“People can keep their old frames and just replace the lenses,” says Tomlinson. “Putting them through the Ciliary Blue iMOT makes the most of expensive frames and, more importantly, can prolong the life of your eyesight.”
CiliaryBlue.com refurbishes frames to have them looking and feeling like new and will fit a fresh pair of prescription lenses.
