Two cool for school

11th February 2007 Print
A third of parents would undergo the emotional and financial burden of moving house, to be nearer to their ideal school, according to a survey by Sky TV channel ‘Teachers TV’.

There are now a number of websites and publications which offer educational and property advice to parents looking to find the best school and home for their family. As a result of this increasing trend, finding suitable properties in desirable school catchment areas is extremely difficult. In response to this shortage, Antler Homes is launching two luxury houses at Heathside Place, in Weybridge.

John Taylor, Sales and Marketing Director at Antler Homes Southern, comments: “Heathside Place is a very exclusive development, as there are only two high specification family homes for sale. There is a high demand for family housing in the area because of its proximity to Heathside School, an extremely popular foundation school in the area. This development is testament to the pride that Antler Homes take in choosing desirable locations for the homes they build.”

Peter Bolton, of Helas Wolf Estate Agents in Weybridge, comments: “We have had a great deal of interest in this development because of the lack of detached family homes for sale in the area. Heathside Place will be of particular interest to both local families and those looking to move into the area because it is 100 metres from Heathside School and close to Weybridge Train Station.”

Heathside Place comprises two five bedroom, three bathroom, detached family homes on March Road in Weybridge. The traditional mansard roof has an elongated overhang at the front of the properties which gives the house a contemporary twist. The gabled dormer windows and classic ruby red brick work and roof tiling used on both houses draw from the architecture of the surrounding area.

Internally both houses comprise an open-plan kitchen/family/breakfast room which is flooded with light from the double French doors leading out to the garden. The luxury custom built kitchen includes granite worktop, Siemens steel gas hob, Siemens stainless steel double oven, integrated fridge/freezer, integrated dishwasher and ceramic floor tiles. The spacious living and dining rooms are ideal for entertaining. There is also a utility room with separate outdoor access, perfect for pets or children with muddy boots.

Weybridge town centre has a multitude of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Weybridge Train Station has regular direct trains to London Waterloo Train station which take approximately 30 minutes.

The five bedroom detached houses at Heathside Place are on sale for £950,000. For further information, visit antlerhomes.co.uk.
