Lessons in building at Reigate

2nd April 2007 Print
Year One pupils from Holmesdale School Children from Holmesdale School took their lessons out of the classroom earlier this month when they went for a site visit at Charles Church’s High Cedars development in Reigate. 90 Year One pupils – aged between five and six – walked from their school in Alma Road, 30 at a time on 3 separate days, to the site on Wray Park Road, as part of their Building and Structures project.

The children and their teachers were given a tour of the site and encouraged to ask the Site Personnel any questions they had. Site Manager Andy Swallow and Assistant Nick Taylor also provided the children with some items from the site, including a brick, which they could take back to school and use in a ‘show and tell’ lesson.

Alison Key, Field Sales Manager for Charles Church South East, says: “Charles Church firmly believes in fostering good relations within the communities in which it is building and it was really nice to invite the pupils from Holmesdale School along to the site at High Cedars and to be able to help them with their school project. The children came to the site well prepared, were really inquisitive, had lots of challenging questions and all concerned really enjoyed the visits.”

High Cedars is a superb gated development of 23 luxury two and three bedroom apartments in Wray Park Road, with prices from £349,950 to £599,950. Reservations are now being taken, visit the Charles Church Marketing Suite at 42 Reigate Hill, open daily between 10am and 6pm.
