Galliford Try Homes build up its trophy bank gaining more awards

Galliford Try Homes, through its regional homebuilder, Linden Homes have scooped further prominent awards, gaining the prestigious titles of ‘Best New Home of the Year’ and ‘Best New Starter Home’ at the Evening Standard’s recent New Homes Design Awards 2007.

Home of the Year title was awarded to Linden Homes for the two bedroom ‘Newton’ home at the Fusion development; a collection of 150 new homes, ranging from one bedroom apartments to four bedroom homes with views across the Surrey countryside.

The Evening Standard’s panel of judges described The Newton as “superb and outstanding”, praising the home for its ‘green design’ and acknowledging Linden’s overall dedication to eco-friendly housebuilding at Fusion. The awards’ highest accolade was presented to Linden for ticking all the boxes of government housing policy - providing affordable family homes, built on brownfield land, that are eco-friendly in both construction and design.

This is the second prestigious award to be betrothed to The Newton home at Linden’s Fusion development, which previously scooped a gold award for the ‘Best New Starter Home’ category at the What House? Awards in 2006.

Overall Galliford Try Homes gained a hat-trick at the Evening Standard Awards through having received a third accolade for a further Linden Homes South East development: Marnock Place (a former Try Homes Southern development) in Tunbridge Wells, which gained a well-deserved commendation in the ‘Best New Apartment’ category.

Galliford Try Homes have accrued several accolades so far this year with Midas Homes, the business’ South West house builder, taking the prestigious title of ‘Housebuilder of the Year,’ at this years Building Awards.
