Rain or shine

The Reed Bed at Water Colour, Redhill Wet summer fails to dampen spirits as waterside community springs to life. As phase two at Linden Homes’ Water Colour development ‘The Grand Quarter’ gets underway, existing residents already moved in at phase one are finally getting their first real taste of life by the waterside as summer eventually landed at the new Redhill community.

After the damp weather of June and July, residents were able to celebrate six months in their new homes, as sunshine finally broke over the stunning Water Colour lagoon last week.

While existing residents where enjoying some sunshine (albeit short-lived), on the other side of the lagoon, another form of live has been flourishing under the incessant summer downpour, with the twenty-five acres of land retained as an undisturbed nature reserve benefiting from the extended period of rain. The area, which has been designated as wet woodland area, has come to life over the past few months, providing a welcome oasis for its inhabitants.

Every property at Water Colour is close to some element of moving water and many residents enjoy spectacular views over the expansive lagoon and nature reserve. The latest phase to be launched offers a collection of homes positioned along a newly introduced reed bed channel which cuts a path through the centre of the development

Paul Cooper, Managing Director of Linden Homes South East, comments:

“The Water Colour community has really come to life, with the latest occupancies in the village and signs that the nature reserve is beginning to flourish under the supervision of Surrey Wildlife.

“Water features have provided much of the lure for customers at Water Colour, eager to take advantage of the picturesque backdrop and calming effect that they provide. The appeal of waterside homes has heightened in recent years as buyers seek a retreat from the stresses of modern life. Water Colour’s goal is to create a sanctuary, both for its residents and for the wildlife currently inhabiting the lagoon and nature reserve.”

A range of waterside properties are currently available, including a new collection of four bedroom homes overlooking the newly developed Water Colour Reed Bed channel, with views down to the lagoon. Prices for four bedroom waterside homes start at £499,995.

Three bedroom, two bathroom homes start at £289,995.

The full range of homes currently under release in the Grande Quarter phase at Water Colour include one bedroom apartments, and two, three and four bedroom houses.
