Treat yourself to a new home for Christmas

3rd December 2007 Print
Treat yourself to a new home for Christmas Barratt has launched a high value Christmas Home Exchange offer on their popular development Highwood@Kenley Park near Purley and on the outskirts of Croydon.

Between now and Christmas Eve, Barratt Southern Counties will take 100% of the value of a purchaser’s existing home in part exchange for a new property at Highwood. Barratt will also take responsibility for preparing the Home Information Pack (HIP) for the purchaser’s existing property.

In addition, Barratt is offering to pay the stamp duty on the purchaser’s new property and will include carpets, curtains and light fittings in the purchase price.

In preparing the HIP Barratt will, at their own expense, carry out searches on the existing property, obtain copies of planning permissions and guarantees and arrange for the compulsory energy performance certificate. Householders arranging these for themselves have found that can often take up to a month and, if not completed in time, can cost a purchaser his or her dream home, as well as the added expense and stress of moving house.

Comments Adam Lawrence, Barratt Regional Chairman: “We want the whole house moving process to be as easy and stress-free for our customers as possible. Barratt’s Home Exchange service delivers that comfort and makes the move a very straightforward one. What better Christmas present could anyone have than the knowledge that if they buy one of our homes at Highwood before Christmas all the stress and trouble of selling you existing home will be lifted from your shoulders?”

There are only a few homes remaining at Highwood@Kenley Park, an exclusive range of three, four and five-bedroom homes beautifully situated in an elevated position between Caterham-on-the-Hill, Kenley and Whyteleafe.
Designed specially for this location, they homes are bordered on most sides by green space or woodland.

There are three styles of home to choose from: The Detling (three storey, 3-bedroom); The Headcorn (three storey, 4/5 bedroom) and the Kingsnorth (four double bedrooms and three bathrooms). All have been designed to impress internally as well as externally; the living space flows from room-to-room, with practical family living in mind.

‘The Tangmere’ features a flexible open-plan design to the ground floor, with L-shaped kitchen to the front of the property leading to the family/dining area and then fluidly into a light and airy conservatory with patio doors to the rear garden. This floor also has an integral garage and a separate utility room.

For that added touch of refinement, a separate living room with private balcony can be found on the first floor; an ideal space for rest and relaxation for the adults of the house. Accessed from this room only is a study, perfect for those who work from home. There is also a master bedroom with en suite bath and shower facilities. The second floor is home to two further bedrooms, both served by a shower room.

Living at Highwood you are just a few minutes away from shops, schools, cafés and restaurants. London Victoria is no more than 40 minutes from nearby Kenley station and by car the A22 is within one mile, providing easy access to Central London, while junction 6 of the M25 is approximately four miles away opening up access to the national motorway network. Gatwick airport is only 16 miles away and Heathrow around 37 miles.

Prices at Highwood@Kenley Park range from £349,495 or £565,495. For further information on the last few remaining homes visit the website on Barratthomes.co.uk.
