Premier waterside homes for the City bonus buoys

Premier waterside homes for the City bonus buoys With the New Year now upon us, City bonuses remain high on the agenda, with many of the London elite still pondering their annual extravagance. However, despite the current market turbulence, many will look to safeguard their windfall, with property still remaining the popular choice for City commuters.

Waterside homes have previously been reported as fetching prices up to three times the national average, and provided the location is well-considered, they offer a sound investment for the future as well as a desirable place to live.

Typically it is inner-city flats that benefit from waterside locations, but the homes at Linden’s leading waterside scheme, Reflections @ Water Colour in Redhill, Surrey, show that people can also enjoy the advantages of waterside property, combined with out of town living. These detached family homes offer a unique quality and location whilst remaining unaffected by turbulence in the market, experienced by some inner-city apartment schemes.

Only two properties now remain at Reflections, a brand new collection of just seven detached waterside homes, set in a countryside location, and accessible to London by train in less than 30 minutes. Part of the Water Colour community, Reflections offers a rare prospect in waterside living, with homes grouped at the edge of the expansive Water Colour lagoon, overlooking a newly introduced water and wildlife corridor, including a 25-acre nature reserve.

Paul Cooper, Managing Director of Linden Homes South East, comments:

“Reflections offers something entirely out of the ordinary in new-build development, due mainly to its unique location. It represents a set of brand new detached homes, positioned along an entirely new water and wildlife corridor, presenting an exceptionally rare opportunity for home buyers. Assisted by limited supply, demand for detached family homes such as these has continued, largely unaffected by current market turbulence, and with the ease of access into London and the City they are likely to prove popular with this year’s bonus spenders.”

As well as being located on the water’s edge, the homes also back onto a communal garden - an informal landscaped space available only to the residents of Reflections via an entrance at the back of their homes. Set apart from any of the development’s roads or driveways, both the garden and homes at Reflections can only be reached on foot, enhancing the idyllic location of these homes. All have direct access to parking facilities however, with personal garages and spaces located just a short walk away.

Prices at Reflections currently start at £634,995. A range of waterside properties are currently available at Water Colour, including a collection of four bedroom homes overlooking the newly developed Water Colour Reed Bed channel, with views down to the lagoon. Prices for four bedroom waterside homes start at £499,995.
