Rainy day launch was anything but a washout

Rainy day launch was anything but a washout Charles Church experienced an excellent response from the public at the re-launch of their homes at The Cascades in Virginia Water this Friday 5th September, which was officially opened by the Mayor of Runnymede, Councillor Jim Broadhead.

The Cascades is a development of three and four bedroom townhouses and one and two bedroom apartments, each built in sympathy with the superior location of Virginia Water. Despite the bad weather, the Mayor was delighted to attend this event, in which the showhome was open for visitors to come and take a look around and enjoy a glass of champagne, as well as finely prepared sandwiches and nibbles.

The Mayor commented that the four bedroom Alderbury showhome, plot 44, which includes mirroring along one wall of the stunning black, cream and purple kitchen and dining area, as well as cream carpeting or tiling throughout, was "lovely". He particularly liked the glass feature lighting throughout the home and said: "Overall I am very impressed with the design and layout of the showhome. The master bedroom is the perfect size and the en-suite bathroom is a lovely touch." The landscaped garden was also a plus point with the Mayor as it requires little maintenance.

An exceptional benefit of the homes at The Cascades is the opportunity for the purchaser to personalise their new home by moving the position of any walls that do not bear a load. Therefore, although the layout may show two bedrooms, it is possible for the purchaser to create one very spacious bedroom instead. Furthermore, purchasers are able to substitute baths for shower cubicles and add in extra sinks to the bathrooms and en-suite facilities, as well as choosing a bespoke kitchen.

The Mayor was very obliging to take part in a photo shoot with Tracey Lee, Sales Director of Charles Church Southern and James Wyatt, Partner at Barton Wyatt, the selling agents. Although the Mayor is invited to numerous events, this event perhaps brought back memories of his childhood as his father was himself a builder. "I spent all my early years on sites such as this, watching something grow from nothing into fine structures like we see here today," he said. "May I wish Charles Church best wishes for the future."

Virginia Water is one of the most sought after addresses in Surrey, with the prestigious Wentworth Golf Club and Royal Ascot Racecourse in close proximity. Residents at The Cascades will be able to take advantage of the surrounding countryside, including The Savill Garden and Virginia Water itself. The town provides local shops for everyday living, but more extensive shopping can be found in the nearby towns of Windsor, Reading and Camberley.

Prices at The Cascades start from £380,000. For further information log on to Charleschurch.com.
