Devine Homes entices buyers back to the market

8th April 2009 Print
Devine Homes entices buyers back to the market At a time when many companies are feeling the pinch of a challenging property market, Reigate based developer Devine Homes has seen an increase in sales at its Russet Gardens development in Banstead, Surrey, thanks to its new Easy Share Scheme.

Under the new scheme, purchasers can own 100% of their home but pay only 85% now. There is no interest or rent to pay on the other 15% and purchasers have up to 10 years to repay the outstanding 15% at market value.

Since Devine Homes unveiled the scheme in October 2008 interest in the properties has remained high with 80% of the development now sold. Such success signifies that buyers are still out there. Devine Homes attributes this to changing lifestyles e.g. growing families or those downsizing mean that people still have a need to move.

Russet Gardens provides a total of 4 two bedroom apartments, 6 four bedroom townhouses, 4 three bedroom semi detached houses and 4 four bedroom detached houses, all set within attractive landscaped grounds. The properties are designed with an appreciation of the period properties in the local area, boasting exposed timber, traditional brick and decorative tiling to give each home a classic, timeless quality.

Luxury kitchens come with fully integrated high-quality appliances. Tiled bathrooms feature contemporary designs and there is an attention to detail throughout as seen in the deep moulded skirting and architraves. Security is assured with pre-wired alarms, security locked windows and dead-locks and chains to entrance doors. All homes are also covered by NHBC warranty.

Banstead is a small town – although locally referred to as ‘Banstead Village’ – located in South West Surrey. A high street lies at the heart of the town boasting a range of quality shops including Marks & Spencer and Waitrose, together with a selection of smaller boutiques as well as welcoming bars and restaurants.

Nearby towns include Ewell, Epsom and Purley each providing a range of further attractions. The M25 is within easy reach of the development as well as Gatwick and Heathrow airports. By rail, Banstead Station serves London Victoria while nearby Sutton Station offers frequent services to London Victoria and London Bridge in approximately 35 minutes.

With a number of developments in the local area struggling in the current climate, Devine has shown much resilience in continuing to develop high quality homes. Its Stoneham Place development in Merstham has just sold and, unlike some of its competitors, Devine Homes is launching further schemes in the area.

These include Cedar Rise, Reigate Hill, Surrey, an exceptional gated development of one and two bedroom apartments and Rossetti Gardens, Warren Road, Banstead, Surrey, a stunning new development of 21 homes all set within beautiful landscaped grounds.

Prices at Russet Gardens range from £249,950 for the last remaining 2 bedroom apartment to £475,000 - £499,000 for the last three 4 bedroom detached houses. The marketing suite is open Thursday – Monday, 10am – 4pm.
