DepositAssist is available on a choice of two-bedroom apartments starting at £202,995, and provides purchasers with an extra 5% towards the deposit they put down, to make buying a home easier and more affordable.

Kate Gordon, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for George Wimpey, says: “This is a great scheme which first-time buyers and their parents can take advantage of right now, helping to add more than £8,000 to their deposit and giving them access to a lower rate mortgage and save money each month as a result.

“However, interest in homes at Grayshott Place is running high – the showhome only opened last month and already 45% or our apartments have been reserved.

“For this reason, we’re urging people to come to see us as soon as possible so that they can secure their place and an extra 5% deposit!”

Apartments at the development are ideal for first-time purchasers, combining timeless architecture with contemporary interior layouts.

The two-bedroom ‘Byron House’ designs, for example, are characterised by a large, light and airy living room, a separate kitchen with plenty of space for dining, two well-proportioned bedrooms – one with a handy en-suite – and a main bathroom and storage closet off the private entrance hallway.

The collection of apartments at Grayshott Place are laid out within a trio of three-storey buildings boasting traditional architectural features including dormer and bay windows, attractive porches and pitched roofs, and a handsome combination of red brick and cream render.

Selected homes benefit from balconies or terraces to the living areas, and communal gardens, while there are wonderful finishing touches to all the homes, including a fitted kitchen plus integrated stainless steel oven, hob and hood, and each property has an allocated parking space.

The Surrey village of Lightwater is close to the M3 offering great links to the M25, central London, the New Forest, Southampton and the South Coast. For those travelling further afield, Heathrow Airport is only 18 miles away.

The well-served village enjoys a strong sense of community and is home to a range of amenities including a selection of shops catering for everyday needs.

Lightwater also has its own country park with some 100 acres of heathland and nature trails and a leisure centre, while the village offers plenty of opportunity for walking and cycling and is surrounded by heather-covered heath land.

The town of Camberley is just four miles away and has a great many major high street shops, good sports facilities including a swimming pool, a theatre and a cinema. For days out, Windsor Castle, Ascot Racecourse, Virginia Water and the town of Guildford are all close by.

Commuters will appreciate that Bagshot and Sunningdale railway stations are only three miles from Grayshott Place and provide direct links to Ascot, Guildford and Reading – and to London Waterloo in just 45 minutes.

To find out more about the new apartments at Grayshott Place, visit the development located off Guildford Road, Lightwater and open Thursday to Monday from 10am until 5pm, or log on to Georgewimpey.co.uk.
