Tabard Square takes part in lights out London

On the very top of the 22-storey tower of Tabard Square, Berkeley Homes (East Thames) Ltd’s flagship development in Borough, SE1 is a unique barometer controlled beacon, which changes colour depending on the barometric pressure.

This impressive barometer, usually visible for many miles across London, will be turned off on Thursday, 21st June from 9-10pm, as part of Capital 95.8 FM’s Lights Out London campaign.

Lights Out London aims to prove that everyone can make a difference to the future of the planet by turning off all lights and non-essential appliances. As well as promoting long-term understanding of green issues among Londoners, this simple display of solidarity will show the world that the city cares for the environment and its future.

Justin Tibaldi, Managing Director at Berkeley Homes (East Thames) Ltd commented: “At Berkeley Homes, we are committed to doing our part to help the environment. Taking part in Capital Radio’s Lights Out London campaign will show our support to tackling climate change and we hope to encourage other Londoners to take part.”

Only two penthouses remain for sale at Tabard Square. The penthouses feature highly contemporary specification, designed to offer open plan living. Lineana Quattro Italian fitted kitchens come complete with Miele stainless steel appliances while the bathrooms feature ceramic wall and floor tiles.

The penthouses also feature a spiral staircase with glass treads and curved glass balustrade, paved terrace and decked balconies, zonal underfloor heating and a hard wired integrated audio visual system that includes ceiling speakers, wall-mounted control points and an Ipod docking station.

The 40,000 square foot internal courtyard is now officially opened at Tabard Square. It offers public access and a 3,400 sq-ft sculptural pavilion that offers facilities for a bar and restaurant, which is set to become the hub of the community.

Tabard Square also boasts a 24-hour concierge and 46,000 sq-ft of commercial space. The last remaining penthouses are priced from £1.3 million- £2.5 million. Viewings are by appointment only.
