An example of a bungalow style house Countryside Properties’ exclusive retirement development in Hammers Lane, Mill Hill offers buyers an easier option when looking to downsize, with a range of services right on the doorstep, and a well-established community already in place, to help them settle into their new home.

Offering a stunning collection of 71 one and two bedroom bungalows and 15 apartments, the properties are set in beautiful conservation parkland overlooking north London. The homes, which were originally built in the 1930s, have been fully refurbished and modernised with high quality interiors to offer hassle free living.

Residents are able to make use of the services on offer at Marshall Hall, which is directly opposite the site and run by the Retail Trust for the existing residents. There are a range of facilities including a restaurant, a library, a convenience store and visiting hairdresser, chiropodist and physiotherapist. There are also regular classes and social activities and several guest rooms available if friends and family want to stay overnight.

Yvonne Hudson-Green, Sales and Marketing Director for Countryside Properties, says: “The decision to leave the family home and downsize is a huge one, but the facilities and the existing community at our development on Hammers Lane should help make the move much easier.”

There is also allocated parking for each property, and an excellent local bus service with a stop directly outside the development, so that residents can get out and about to the surrounding areas and central London easily. Just a short bus ride or walk away is Mill Hill Broadway with its wide range of shops, pavement cafés and some excellent restaurants. Mill Hill East underground station (Northern Line) and Mill Hill Broadway mainline station provide easy and regular access to London. If you want to catch a show in the West End or ‘shop til you drop’ in the seasonal sales, it’s just a short trip away, and for the over 60s it’s also free with a London Freedom pass.

For the active, Mill Hill is bordered by green belt land to the north and south and has miles of pathways through parkland, woodland and open spaces and a superb 18 hole, par 70 golf course set in mature woodland. There is also a wide variety of clubs and societies offering everything from amateur dramatics to bowling.

Yvonne Hudson-Green continues; “Being so close to both central London and surrounding park and woodland means residents can enjoy an active lifestyle, but with easy access to a range of services and support purchasers can also be safe in the knowledge that help is available when needed.”

One and two bedroom bungalows are available, with prices from £310,000. For further information visit Re-millhill.com.
